Who is Fair Haven & What is our vision?
Fair Haven’s ability to identify and acquire high quality mineral projects indicating potential for future mine development was realized in our first full year of operation in 2012 when we succeeded in optioning our initial property acquisition, the Goldenville Project, to Signal Gold (formerly Anaconda Mining), operators of the adjacent Pine Cove Gold Mine. This demonstrates our success in adding value for Fair Haven shareholders and our expertise in acquiring projects with upside potential.
Signal Gold (formerly Anaconda) acquired the Goldenville project because of its historical gold production and the opportunity to add to its gold resources in the area; Fair Haven retains a royalty interest against future gold production from the Goldenville Project.
Fair Haven offers an excellent opportunity for investment and adding shareholder value through joint venture agreements with mining companies for funding advanced exploration and development on its projects located in an active mining district.
- Operating from the centre of the most active mining district in insular Newfoundland (and one of the most active in Eastern Canada) positions the company to be a leader in acquiring and advancing high quality mineral projects.
- Local company highly experienced with a proven track record of exploring and advancing attractive exploration projects in mining friendly Newfoundland.
- Fair Haven is debt free and has very low administration, overhead and field exploration costs.
- A Management team with over 125 years of exploration and mining experience and a track record of acquiring and advancing quality projects.
- Fair Haven is dedicated to adding value for the investor and achieving a Return On Investment through sound fiscal management and delivering high quality projects in an established mining district.
- Fair Haven Project site is a former producing mines with a history of copper & gold production and next to operating copper and gold mines.
- Fair Haven works closely with multiple levels of government and local interest groups to enable exploration and development and to maximize socio-economic benefits.
Getting Results for our Shareholders
Being able to negotiate an agreement on the Goldenville Project with gold producer Signal Gold (formerly Anaconda Mining) of Baie Verte was a significant first step in creating downstream value for Fair Haven shareholders. The agreement requires Signal Gold (formerly Anaconda) to pay all exploration and development costs on the Goldenville Project and also pay a net smelter royalty to Fair Haven on any future production. Signal Gold (formerly Anaconda) has produced gold since 2011 from its Pine Cove Deposit and is now mining their second gold zone at the Stog’er Tight Deposit. These deposits and the mine complex at Pine Cove forms the hub of Anaconda’s operations in Newfoundland. Their Pine Cove site includes a 1280 tonnes / day grinding and flotation mill, crusher and other plant infrastructure allowing total ore processing. The Goldenville Project and the Rambler Project both with common property boundaries to the Signal Gold (formerly Anaconda’s) Mine & Milling Complex presents a highly strategic location next to a modern mine and mill complex, and these features add value to the Fair Haven projects.
